Anthony "Artie Party" Baca Was lifted into The Lord's hands on October 13, 2008 while surrounded by his devoted family. Artie is preceded in death by his mother and father, Damian and Mary Baca; sister,
Anna Trujillo; brother, Ronald Baca; grandfather, Mike Baca; father-in-law, Pat Martinez; brother-in-law,
Gus Romero; and nephew, Brian Romero. Artie is survived by his beloved wife of over 30 years, Virginia;
his faithful children: Anthony and wife Raychel, Michael and fiance Melinda Martinez, and Arthur Dean
Lovato; his grandchildren/his "Honey's:" Kirstyn and Emily; dedicated brother, Glenn Baca; and sister,
Bertha Romero. He is also survived by loving in-laws: mother-in-law, Consuelo Martinez; brothers and sisters-in-law: Gilbert and Sheila Rivera, Armando and Rosie Martinez, Larry and Sylvia Martinez, Paul and Bernice Martinez, Antoinette and Ted Padilla, Louis Martinez, Patrick and Johanna Martinez. He is
also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Artie was born and raised in Santa Fe, and was a graduate of Santa Fe High School. Artie was a Data Specialist at Qwest Communications for 32 years and retired in 2001. Since 2002, he had also worked for LANL as a contract Data Technician. Artie took
tremendous pride in his work and was acknowledged constantly for his extraordinary work ethic. Artie left
a last mark in his company and his coworkers alike; both were his love and his passion. More so than anything in life, Artie loved spending time with his family and friends. His world revolved around social interaction and he was loved and endeared entirely for the friendships he shared and the countless acts of kindness he displayed to virtually all who knew him. He was a great friend and in turn had great friends- he was always someone you could count on for literally anything.
Artie also spent a tremendous amount of time and energy cultivating his family; he took special care of his parents, brothers, and sisters.
He made sure throughout their entire life that they were taken care of. Artie took no greater care than of his own family; his love for his wife Virginia was tireless and boundless and Virginia's love for him will last
throughout all eternity.
His passion for his children was unparalleled and he inspired them to excel and succeed beyond measure. In his life he worked for, demanded, and expected greatness- he fell short, not once. He will be missed infinitely, admired always, and loved eternally.

Interment at Rosario Cemetery.

His Cousin Solomon Garcia held funny, loving memories of their childhood. As adults they shared countless memories.
