Flossie was the fourth child of eight children born to her parents. She grew up the first ten years of her life in the Brighton township area, before moving with her parents to Salem township, Washtenaw county, Michigan.

On January 1, 1914, in Salem township, Flossie, at age 16, married Herold R. Davy, a son of James Robert Davy and Ida Jane Myers. Their marriage produced 13 children with 10 of them reaching adulthood. The first seven of their children were born in Salem township. Then the family lived for a few years near Milan, Dundee, and Plymouth (all in southeastern Michigan) before moving to Weidman in northwest Isabella county about 1945. In addition to her own children, Herold and Flossie raised five other children as well.

Flossie's funeral was at 2 p.m. on October 2, 1968, at the Weidman Methodist Church. Arrangements were by the Crittenden Funeral Home of Remus, Michigan. The minister officiating was the Rev. James Linton.

Mrs. Flossie Davy
Mrs. Flossie Mae Davy, 71, of Weidman, died Sunday at St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw. She was born May 2, 1897, in Brighton, and had been a resident in Weidman for 23 years.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. in the Weidman Methodist Church with Rev. James Linton officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Weidman.
Mrs. Davy is survived by six sons, Walter Davy of Seattle, Wash., Laurence Davy of Worthington, Ohio, Ernest Davy of Weidman, Raymond Davy of Indianapolis, Ind., Glen Davy of Bickery, Ohio, and Elmer Davy of Ann Arbor.
Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Cole of Chicago Heights, Ill., Mrs. Ila Graham and Mrs. Pearl Battle, both of Weidman, and Mrs. Luella Holcomb of Pinckney; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Butler of Waterford; 49 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Crittenden Funeral Home in Remus until noon Wednesday.
