West Finley, March 6- Miss Elmira Sprowls, aged 74 years, one of the best known & most highly respected residents of this end of the county died at her home near here tonight at 10 o'clock after a very brief illness. Her death was due to a paralytic stroke.
Miss Sprowls had been apparently in her usual health up to last Sunday morning when she was suddenly stricken. While she was able to talk up to this morning her life was despaired of. She grew worse today & gradually lapsed into unconsciousness.
Miss Sprowls was a daughter of Henry & Mary Sprowls & had been a lifelong resident of this community. She became a member of the Windy Gap Presbyterian Church while a young girl & throughout her life took an active interest in the various church organizations & other charitable work of the community.
She leaves two brothers & a sister, Riley Sprowls of Burnsville, Wilson Sprowls of Waterford, Ohio & Mrs. Annette Scott of East Finley Township.
