Gavin Young, Jr.(actually the 4th) was born in Cambusnethan, Lanarkshire, Scotland, a son of Gavin, Sr. and Mary Gray Millar Young. He married Jane Bush on Sept. 15, 1875 in Pittsburgh, PA. They were the parents of Gavin Bush, William Bush, Jane and Mary Gray Young.
