Mrs. Jesse M. Elting died of Brights disease in New York Feb. 10, in her sixty-fifth year. She was the daughter of James MacLaury a promient New York physician. With her mother and family she moved to New Paltz in 1861. She was married in 1869 to the late Jesse M. Elting. sheis survived by a daughter Mabelle Elting, a son, Arthur G. Elting and three grandchildren. Mrs. Elting united with the Presbyterian church in Newburgh when about fifteen years old and her unfaltering Christian faith and steadfastness have been an inspiration to many. For years an invalid, her sunny disposition and sweet sympathy endeared her to a large circle of friends.
