Wilma Louise Krueger died Thursday evening May 30, 1991, at the Melissa Memorial Hospital in Holyoke, at the age of 72 years, 5 months and 7 days.

Wilma was born on December 23, 1918 at Venango, Nebraska to William H. and Mary M. (Witzki) Busch.

She attended Venango Schools and graduated from Venango High School in 1936.

Wilma was married to Clarence B. Krueger on October 31, 1936 at Fort Morgan. To this union two daughters and two sons were born.

On April 30, 1939, she was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amherst. She remained faithful to her Lord to the time of her death. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Holyoke.

After her marriage Wilma lived in the Amherst, Paoli and Holyoke areas where she and Clarence were engaged in farming. After his death in 1964 she moved to Haxtun where she purchased and operated a liquor store for the next 10 1/2 years.

In January of 1981 she was forced to retire due to health reasons and moved to Holyoke where she resided until her death. After moving to Holyoke she was confined to a wheelchair, but continued to care for herself and remained independent with the help of her family and friends. She always enjoyed visiting and maintained a cheerful disposition despite her many handicaps.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two infant sons, a great grandson and a sister Ruth.

She will be sadly missed by two daughters Ardell and husband Leland Lakey of Mandeville, Louisiana and Irene and husband Carroll Bussell of Holyoke; four granddaughters; one grandson; two sisters, Marilyn and husband Carl Schmidt of Holyoke; and Irene Busch of Tucson, Arizona; one brother, Randall Busch and wife Betty of Fort Collins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 3, 1991, at Zion Lutheran Church in Holyoke. Rev. Gary A Rahe officiated. Interment was at the Holyoke Memorial Park.
