Evelyn (Van Orden) Chase, 73, of Livingston, died at her home on Thursday evening, August 15, 2002. Evelyn was born on December 17, 1928 in Livingston, the daughter of Vel and Effie (Perry) Van Orden. She attended Livingston schools and graduated from Park County High School.
On August 26, 1946, she married Kenneth Killorn in Livingston, they had three children and were later divorced. On September 16, 1961 she married Delbert Chase in Livingston. They had two children. Evelyn attended Montana State University for two years and then worked as a nurse for a time. She worked as a clerk for communications for Park County in the City County Building, a job she held for many years until her retirement.
Evelyn was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Livingston, and the Park County Pioneer Society. She always took the time to create special relationships with everyone she knew. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Her survivors include two sons; three daughters; four brothers; two sisters; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will he at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Livingston. Graveside committal and burial will follow in Park View Gardens Cemetery just south of Livingston.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Franzen Davis Funeral Home in Livingston.
