Chico Record, Friday Morning, September 6, 1912, pg 4 col 4: Fred Cooper Died in Plumas County. Member of Well Known Family Will Be Buried In This City. Fred Cooper, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. Cooper of 229 Fifth street, this city, died about noon yesterday at Quincy, Plumas county. The deceased had been sick a long time and had gone to the mountains to improve his health. Tuberculosis was the cause of death.

The body was shipped to Oroville late last night and will be accompanied to Chico by members of the deceased’s family this morning. Interment will be made in Chico.

The deceased was well known here, having come from Colusa many years ago with his family. He is survived by his parents and four sisters and three brothers. They are: Elizabeth, Lena, Lorena, Libbie, David, Benjamin and Sash Cooper, all of whom live at the family home on Fifth street.
