Guy Young Duden was born Oct 12, 1887 in Clinton township, a son of Alpheus and Anice Duden. He passed away at Yocom Hospital at Chariton, June 4, 1966 at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 22 days.

On December 28, 1910 he was united in marriage to Beulah Ockerman. To this union was born two children, Mrs. Lurie Holm of Humeston and Irvin Duden of Ottumwa.

He leaves to mourn his wife, two children, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, four grandchildren and one great grandson and a lost of other relatives and friends.

He spent his entire life in Wayne county with his earlier days at farming in Clinton township. In 1932 he moved to Promise City where he practiced the carpenter trade. In 1943 he moved to Corydon, where he continued the carpenter business until retirement.

He was a kind and loving husband and father and his family was his greatest joy.

Funeral services were held Monday from the chapel of the Wolf Funeral home with the Rev. Paul Williamson officiating. Mrs. Hope Bracewell was organist with Mrs. Maureen Greenlee singing favorite songs. Pallbearers were Merle Cadwell, Ray Demry, Ben Grismore, George Sinclair, Clell Warren and Dick Bager. Burial wa at the Allerton cemetery.
