Services for Delbert Dean Coble, 73, of Lubbock were held Wednesday at Quaker Avenue Church of Christ with Ellmore Johnson officiating and Thomas Langford assisting.

Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

He died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002.

He was born June 6, 1929, in Deport. He grew up in Estelline and attended school there. He married Manona Murphy on June 20, 1950, in Estelline. He retired from the Air Force as master sergeant, where he served in World War II and received the Korean Service Medal, the National Defense Medal and the United Nations Service Medal.

Later he was a building engineer in Lubbock working for Lubbock National Bank and Southwestern Bell. He was a member of Quaker Avenue Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jerry of Lubbock; two daughters, Cindy Smith of Tulsa, Okla., and Lajaune Hood of Bedford; two sisters; four brothers; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
