DEATHS
Covert - Mrs. Grant Covert died at 1 o'clock Thursday morning. Aug 9, at a hospital in St. Joseph, where she has been since Monday morning, when she had an appendix and gall stone opeartion. Heart failure caused her death. She did not regain consciousness after the operation. The husband, 4 daughters survive. They were all with her when she died. The daughters are Mrs. Ralph Sansom, Sabetha; Mrs. Ed Longacre, Whiting; Mrs. Wm. Rupe, Horton; Mrs. Siwan, Manhattan. The funeral will be held in Hiawatha, Saturday afternoon 2 o'clock at the Methodist church, Rev. G. R. Lawellin officiating. Burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.
