HARRIS--Mrs. Amanda Rosa Harris, 86 Smithville, died last night at the Odd Fellows hospital in Liberty, where she had been a patient the last four months. Mrs. Harris was born in Garnett, Kas., and had lived in the Platte County-Clay County area most of her life. She was a member of the Providence Baptist church of Clay County. Mrs. Harris leaves two sons, Henry Harris, Liberty, and Jesse J. Harris, Smithville; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:30 o'clock Thursday at the McComas chapel, burial in the I. O. O. F. cemetery at Smithville.(D.A.E./ Kansas City Star, Kansas City, Missouri, 25 Sep 1957, Wed, Page 5)
