Last Rites for Floyd Kruckman

Funeral services were held for Floyd J. Kruckman Tuesday, December 15 [1970] from the Church of the Holy Redeemer with Father Louis Keller officiating. Music was by the church choir and organist was Mrs. John Gunter.

Mr. Kruckman died at the Granite Falls Hospital on Saturday, December 12 following a lingering illness. He was 77 years old.

The deceased was born on March 24, 1893 at Fort Dodge, Iowa to F. A. and Josie (Wesley) Kruckman. He attended school in Corpus Christi. He was married to Loretta Crinnigan on April 20, 1915 in the Church of the Sacred Heart at Fort Dodge, Ia., after which they moved to Granite Falls on a farm where they lived until 1932. At that time they moved onto a farm north of Renville where they lived until 1932. At that time they moved to Clara City until 1951 and again to Renville in 1964. The last 6 years he resided at the Nursing Home in Franklin.

He was a member of the Church of the Holy Redeemer and was a member of the Iowa National Guard from 1911 to 1913.

Children born to the couple were Mrs. Donald (Frances) Olson of Canby, Floyd Kruckman of Glencoe, Wesley Kruckman of St. Paul, Mrs. Maurice (Beverly) Barkley of Mound, Mrs. Norman (Arlene) Johnson and William Kruckman both of Renville. Grandchildren number 25 and great grandchildren, 19. A daughter Gertrude died in infancy. Besides the six children and the grandchildren he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Thomas J. (Cecelia) Farmer of San Diego, California. His wife died April 23, 1962.

Pallbearers were grandsons - Dwayne Olson, Robert Olson, Wayne Barkley, Michael Johnson, Kevin Kruckman and Kelly Kruckman.
