Samuel Martin Ables was born in July 1856. We find his parents listed at one source as Elliot and Susan(Runyan)Ables,then at another Alexander and Susan(Runyon)Ables. We also found that one source stated born Pomeroy,Meigs Co.,OH and another source West Virginia. The census record of 1900 listed born West Virginia and parents also born West Virginia.

Samuel was married twice to sisters. He first married Emma L. Lynch on Oct. 18,1877 she died shortly after the 1880 census. They had two sons, Charles b. Aug 10,1878 and an un-named son that was 7 months old in the census. He must of died between 1880-1900 no record could be found on him.

Samuel married her sister,Margaret Etta Lynch on December 4,1881 and they had eight children.
They moved from Fayette County,Ohio to Indiana about 1890 by the way their children were listed in the 1900 census.

They lived in and around Ridgeville.
