John W. Bock, 86, a resident of Mid-Valley Airpark in Los Lunas for 30 years, passed away peacefully Monday, Sept. 6.
John was an artist, active in the Belen Art League, an aircraft and glider pilot and an aircraft designer and builder.
John was a WWII Army veteran, serving honorably in the European theater with the 82nd Airborne.
John was preceded in death by his sister, Frances; his parents, John and Marie Bock. John was single, and is survived by his cousin, Nancy Clauser and her husband, Jerry, of Mt. Prospect, Ill.
A viewing was held at the Romero Funeral Home Chapel, 609 N. Main St. in Belen, on Friday, Sept. 10. A graveside service will be held at Terrace Grove Cemetery, 1200 W.
