Dorothy Deines, 70, of Eaton, Colo., died Oct. 11, 1997, at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley,Colo.

Dorothy was born Nov. 13, 1926, to John and Rosalind (Betz) Honstein in
Loveland, Colo. As a small child, Dorothy moved to Eaton with her family, where
she grew up and went to school. She graduated from Eaton High School in 1944 and
graduated from a business college in Denver, Colo. She then worked for United
Airlines in Cheyenne, Wyo., at Wells Motor Company in Greeley as a bookkeeper,
and for Miller’s Super Market as a checker.

On April 6, 1952, she married
Elmer Deines at St. Paul’s Congregational Church in Greeley. She and her husband
farmed in the Eaton area for many years. She also worked part time for Steele’s
Market in Eaton.

She was a member of the Eaton Twilight Club, former member
of the Eaton Music Club, and worked as a volunteer at the North Colorado Medical
Center in Greeley for 15 years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Congregational
Church in Greeley.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Elmer Deines of Eaton;
a son, Terry Deines and wife Teresa of Eaton; a daughter, Debbie Dines of
Greeley; and three grandchildren, Sheri, Michelle and Ryan Deines, all of
Eaton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald
Honstein.

Funeral services were Oct. 15, at St. Paul’s Congregational Church
in Greeley, with interment at the Eaton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be
made to the St. Paul’s Congregational Church Memorial Fund in care of the
Adamson Mortuary, 827 5th St., Greeley, Color.
