FERRIDAY (Special) — Funeral services for Ira C. Guice, 69, of Ferriday, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. M. H. Fields and the Rev. E. O. Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Hill cemetery under direction of Young's Funeral Home.

Mr. Guice, retired custodian of Ferriday Junior High School, died Wednesday at his home after an apparent heart attack.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Matha Guice; three sons, W. C. Guice, Clayton; L. P. (Rex) Guice, Denver, Colo.; Jimmy C. Guice, Thidodaux; two daughters, Mrs. Edgar E. Garrison, Thibodaux; Mrs. I. J. Wactor, Belle Chasse; a stepson, W. C. Wallace, Madrid, Spain; three stepdaughters, Mrs. J. C. Allen, Columbus, Ga., Mrs. George Arnott, Huron, S.D.; Mrs. Johnny Wilkinson, Picayune, Miss.; two brothers, J. F. and Erastus Guice, Sicily Island; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Charles Lumas, Larry Henskin, Welton Brabham, Emery King, E. E. Taylor and Raymond Keathley.
