NOTE: Amanda's first husband, Charles David Gibbs died in a house moving accident in 1878 while Amanda was pregnant with their second son, Charles Willard Gibbs. The house that was being moved was owned by his cousin, Ami Gibbs, a son of Alanson Gibbs.

Amanda owned about 35 acres of the original Willard Gibbs homestead as recently as 1917. The DeKalb county plat map indicates that she was still the owner in 1929.

Amanda had a step-daughter, Mila Ann Gibbs (Mrs. James Cook) from her husband's first marriage to Mila Ann Lucas.

Amanda was a sister of Henry Maturean Bacon (#9606121) who is also buried at Blood's Point.
