Dies Sunday of Penumonia - Short illness proves fatal to George W. Dunagain at his home in this city.
Geroge W. Dunagan died at his home 170 North Jefferson street, at one o'clock Sunday afternoon following a short illness with pneumonia. He was 81 years of age and had been a resident of this city for 73 years.
He was born in Owen county Nov 3, 1862, the son of Solomon and Emmaline Gathright Dunagan and during his active years was engaged as a farmer. He was a member of the First Christian chruch.
Mr. Dunagan was married Jan 25, 1889 to Ella V. Baldwin Dunagan, who survives him. Other relatives are two daughters, Mrs. Oma Ratcliff and Mrs. Vernie Scott of this city, a son Everett Dunagan, of Paragon, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a sister Mrs. Mae Teague of this city, and two brothers, Samuel Dunagan of this city and William S. Dunagan of Indianapolis.
Funeral rites will be held in the Cure & Hensley chapel Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, with burial in the Schultz cemetery. Friends may call any time after 7:30 this evening at the Cure & Hensley Funeral Home.
