Theresa was the Polish-American child of a closely knit farming family; she remained close to her sisblings all her life and married a farmer herself. Four of the sisters were known as the "4-Os Card Club", after their surname of Osczepinski. The jocular group met for weekly pinochle games, ribald joking, debates over their cooking prowess, and sisterly friendship. She worked with the Orange County Department of Social Services, Goshen, New York and belonged to the "Living Rosary Society", St. Stanislaus Church, Pine Island, New York; volunteered at St. Anthony's Hospital, Warwick, New York; and of course, was an active member the "4 O's Card Club" of Goshen.

When sister Josephine became ill and entered hospice care in New Jersey, the remaining 4-Os would visit her there. As Theresa and her sister Alexandra returned from a visit, the car they were riding in was struck head-on on Rt. 23 in Wantage Township, New Jersey. Both sisters died as did a passenger in the other car. Just hours later, Josephine also succumbed to her illness without knowing of her sisters' deaths.

Theresa, Alexandra, and Josephine shared a funeral service and mass at St. Joseph's Church in Florida, New York; their mortician was T.S. Purta Funeral Home, also of Florida.

Late parents: Anna Bozek and Louis Osczepinski.

Husband: Thaddeus J. 'Tex' Sobiech Sr., alive at the time of Theresa's death, he died November 15, 2007.

Late siblings: Joseph Osczepinski, Frank Osczepinski, Louis Osczepinski, Albert Osczepinski all of Goshen; Loretta Osczepinski (Sadowski), Newark, New Jersey; Alexandra Osczepinski (Labanowski), Goshen; and Josephine Osczepinski (Bierstine), Wantage, N.J. Brother Stanley Osczepinski, of Goshen and Hollywood, Florida, although alive at the time of her death, died shortly afterwards on October 1, 2005.

Survivors included: two sisters, one the 4th member of the "4 O's"; three children; and grandchildren.
