Stella Mae Spencer Moberly's parents are Richard Harrison and Marjorie Leighty Spencer. Her family removed from Shennadoah, Iowa to Lester, Lyon Co., Iowa around the 1890's. Stella Mae met Elvin Lawrence Moberly and they were married 1 Mar. 1894. To this Union was born three children, all girls. Carolyn Mae Moberly Nathan, Edith Viola Moberly Miner and Vivian Marie Moberly Teague. Elvin and Stella moved from Iowa to California and there they lived until their death. Stella was a charter member of the First Methodist Church, in fact, the church had its beginning in their home in South Gate, California.
