Graveside services for Fannie G. Pearson of Thackerville will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta with Bro. Murray McMurray officiating, assisted by Rev. Don Keizor. Arrangements are under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Marietta.
Mrs. Pearson was born June 4, 1927, in Cooke County, Texas, the daughter of Auther and Viola Hott Bond. She passed away Saturday, Sept. 11, in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta, at the age of 83.
A resident of Love County most of her life, Mrs. Pearson attended school at Thackerville and White Rose. She worked as a waitress, also at Little Brownie and Marietta Sportswear in Marietta, and retired in 1990 after more than 20 years of employment at Weber Aircraft in Gainesville, Texas. She and N.C. Pearson were married February 6, 1954, in Gainesville. Mrs. Pearson especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, and following retirement enjoyed playing games at the casino. She was a member of the Thackerville Community Church of Christ.
Mrs. Pearson was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cindy Jean Pearson; three sisters, Bertha Roberts, Dora Shurbet and Tootsie Liddell; and two brothers, Art Bond and Bill Bond.
Survivors include her husband, N.C. Pearson of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Kathy Pearson of Thackerville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and David McCage and Vickie and Steve Smith, all of Thackerville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Junior Jones and Betty and James Wade of Thackerville and Christine and Bobby Simmel of Lindsay, Texas; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers will be grandsons, Mark McCage, Hunter McCage, Tanner McCage, Michael Knabe, Shane McCage and Chance Pearson. Honorary bearers are C.A. Robinson and Chad Robinson.
