Orval C. Etter, 85, Scotland, died Thursday afternoon in the Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
Born December 19, 1892, in Greene Township, he was a son of the late John A. and Lottie Harris Cramer Etter. His wife, Helen Brandt Etter, preceded him in death in August 1975.
Mr. Etter was a member of the Scotland United Methodist Church for over 60 years.
He had been engaged in farming, retiring in 1958.
He was survived by two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Eleze) Albright, Harrisburg, and Mrs. Ralph (Margaret) Oyler, Shippensburg R.D. 5; two sons, Lee Ray Etter, Scotland, and Lynn D. Etter, Shippensburg R.D. 4; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday (28 Aug 1978) at 11 a.m. in the Scotland United Methodist Church with the Rev Robert H. Van Natta officiating. Interment was in Norland Cemetery.
