Catherine was the daughter of George B. Albright & Lydia. She was born at South Woodbury Twp., Bedford Co., PA.

Although Catherine's tombstone indicates she was born in 1846, that may not be correct. The Family Record indicates she was born 2 Jul 1849. The 1900 census shows July 1848. Based on various other records, we suspect she was probably born 2 Jul 1848.

Catherine married Jeremiah Sprankle about 4 Nov 1868, Spruce Creek, Huntingdon Co., PA. He was the widower of her sister, Eliza Jane ("Jennie").

Catherine had eleven children: Susanna (Manges); Josiah; Howard; Oswale; Alexander; Henrietta (Heaton); Geneva (Portner, Cannon); Anna Bell (Portner, Pannell, Cannon); Jay ("Jerry"); George W.; & Elizabeth (Horne).
