Obituary, THE RECORD, Kitchener, Ontario - Oct. 29, 2007 MARTIN, Muriel (Mrs. Oscar) - On Saturday, October 27, 2007, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Muriel (Block) Martin, age 71 years, of Elmira. Beloved wife of Oscar Martin for 51 years. Loving mother of Rod and Sandy of Guelph, Darren and April of Ancaster and Michele of Elmira. Special grandma of Christopher, Nick, Laura and Nathan. Dear sister of Sharon-Lee Wideman of RR 3, Allenford, Betty Aberhardt and Arnold Meyers of Waterloo, Mary Belle and Donald Poll and Norene Steinman, all of Kitchener. Predeceased by her parents, Irvon and Marion (Weber) Block; three brothers, Dalton, Delford and Arlen in infancy and three sisters, Dorothy Sape, Lillian Jantzi and Adele Deckert. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira today (Monday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 9 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, transfer will be made to the Elmira Mennonite Church for funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastors Steven Janzen and Rene Sauder officiating, followed by interment in the Elmira Mennonite Cemetery. In her memory, donations to Mennonite Central Committee or The Cardiac Fitness Association would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. A special thank you to the Third Floor nurses at Freeport Health Centre and to Dr. E. A. Williamson for the special care and compassion during Muriel's illness.
