A memorial service for Billie Forrest Morlan, age 79, will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 3, 2007, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Richard Dunn officiating. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. There will be no visitation or viewing at the funeral home.

He was born to Ernest Forrest and Mary Jane (Reece) Morlan on November 29, 1928, in Guthrie, and died Friday, December 28, 2007 in Tulsa.

Billie grew up in Guthrie and attended Guthrie Schools and Banner High School. He then served in the United States Navy. On June 3, 1961, he married Jennie Mae Winters in Oklahoma City, and they moved to Enid in 1962. He worked in the oil fields for Capital Oil Field Company.

He is survived by seven daughters, Mary Ann Batson, Brenda McDonald, Pamela Knox, Sandra Reagh, Edna Caldwell, Becky Pemberton, and Barbara Morlan; five sons, Billy Morlan, Jimmy Morlan, Ronnie Morlan, Billy F. Morlan, and Jeffrey Morlan; twenty-seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Corley Morlan and Gene Morlan; and two sisters, Linda Morlan and Dorma Taylor.

Billie was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie, son Earl Morlan, three brothers, and two sisters.
