Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Taylor, 84, widow of the late S. M. H. Taylor, were held Tuesday morning at 10:30 at the Judd Cemetery, with the Rev. Dow Ensor in charge. Burial was in the Judd Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor, whose death occurred at the home of her stepdaughter, Mrs. Beecher Gentry, early Monday morning, had been ill only a short time.
Mrs. Taylor was converted at the age of 15 and joined the Methodist Church at Salem and was active in Church at Salem and was active in Church and Sunday School work as long as her health permitted.
Survivors are: two brothers, J. B. Peek of Atlanta, GA, and Dillard Peek of Petaluma, CA; half brother, Roscoe Peek of Detroit; one sister, Mrs. Al. L. Boatman of Cookeville; a halfsister, Mrs. A. C. Crowley of Cookeville; three stepsons, Robert and Sam Taylor of Clarkrange, C. Z. Taylor of Dayton, TN. Three stepdaughters, Mrs. Ora Ray and Mrs. Beecher Gentry of Cookeville and Mrs. A. D. Carter of Lakeland, FL. Three stepdaughters, Mrs. Ora Ray and Mrs. Beecher Gentry of Cookeville and Mrs. A. D. Carter of Lakeland, FL.
