Orville D. Fudge Dies at Age of 80

Orville D. Fudge, 80, died at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. I. Helen Davis, 605 West Market St. He had been in ill health since March 22.

Mr. Fudge was born Nov. 2, 1878, in Ohio to Henry and Amanda Surfus Fudge. His marriage Aug. 12, 1900, in Wells County, was to Annie Mounsey, who died in February, 1934.

He had resided most of his life in Wells County.

Surviving are a son, Ennis Fudge of Stockton, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. C. Irene Newman of Lima, O., Mrs. Maxine Jones of Sepulwada, Calif., and Mrs. Davis; one sister, Mrs. Flora Blair of Warren rural route; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Two sons and two sisters are deceased.

The body is at the Thoma Funeral Home where friends may call.

Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Dewey Zent officiating. Burial will be in the Mossburg Cemetery.
