Funeral services for Henry Blohm, 84, formerly of 1714 W. 7th St., Davenport, who died at 1:25 p.m. Saturday in Oak Glen Convalescent Home, Coal Valley, following an extended illness, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Hill and Fredericks Chapel.
The Rev. Fred Rolf, pastor emeritus of the Church of Peace, Rock Island, will officiate. Burial will be in Grand Mound Cemetery.
Mr. Blohn was born April 30, in Schleswig Germany, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Blohm. He came to the United States with his parents at the age of nine. He attended school in Palatine, Ill., and later moved to Grand Mound. He married Minnie Grage in January, 1895, at Grand Mound. Before retiring in 1918, the couple farmed near DeWitt for many years. Mr. Blohm was a German Lutheran faith.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Eddie Gippert and Mrs. R.H. Hornback, both of Rock Island; Mrs. John Hodson, Davenport, and Mrs. Fred Beck, Iowa City; a son, Vernon M., Creek, Iowa, and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, two sisters and two brothers.
