Born in Wood County, Oct. 2, 1907, he was a son of D. Arlton and Ophella May (Fox) Barker. He married Ruth Leatherman on April 12, 1933. and she survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Robert, Route 2, Cardington; Donald, Route 2, McComb; Edward, Wabash, Ind., and Gene, at home; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Isabelle) Peters, Bowling Green, and Mrs. Herbert (Evelyn) Kiger, Grover City, Calif. and a brother, George, Findlay.
Mr. Barker was a member of the Knights of Pythias of Van Buren and the Portage Chapel Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Rippeth Funeral Home, the Rev. Robert Hayes of McComb officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
