Mrs. E. A. Harper, wife of H. C. Harper, died at their home, Lindsay, La., on Sunday last, age 68 years, 11 months. The burial took place at the Plains Cemetery on Monday at 11 o'clock.
Mrs Harper had been ill for seven months with dropsy and rheumatism, and had suffered greatly. Her husband and four children survive. They are Mrs. P. H. Corcoran of Lindsay, Mrs. J. W. Herring and Mrs. E. C. Brunette of Zachary, and Mr. Jas. M. Harper of Harriston, La. She has twenty grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mrs. W. J. Wicker of Zachary being a grand-daughter. Mrs. Ben F. Wicker of St. Francisville is a niece. The later went down for the funeral. Other members of the family present from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Harper of Harriston, and Mr. C. L. Wright of Yokens, Miss., and Mr. M. C. Wright of Wilson, La.
