A native of Lancaster County, Mr. Jenkins was the son of Mary "Jack" Mobley Jenkins and the late Mr. William Perry Jenkins. He retired from Lotspiech Co., as a construction general superintendent. Mr. Jenkins as a member of Edison Masonic Lodge No. 298 in Florida and a member of Memorial United Methodist church in Placid.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Doris Rowell Jenkins; two sons, W.E. "Billy" Jenkins of Lancaster and Lewis Hiriam Jenkins of Denver; his brother, Perry Jenkins of Lancaster; his sister, Marian McManus of Sumter.
