Elsie Juanita Brown, 59, California, MO departed this life Friday, March 8, 2002 at St. Marys Health Center in Jefferson City, MO. She was born February 5, 1943 in Glasgow, MO the daughter of Acle and OpalBrown Twitchel, who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage December 2, 1966 in Miami, Oklahoma to Billy J. Brown, who survives of the home.
She was a key punch operator and worked in clerical services, 1961 - 1976; worked for California Manufacturing in the sewing room for several years, was a certified nurses assistant for Califonia Care Center for 4 years. She was currently employed as a night supervisor for Roedel Cleaning Services at the Central Bank, main location. She was an active and faithful member of Main Street Baptist Church in California. She graduated from Eldon High School in 1961, attended data entry school in Kansas City; received her certification as a nurses asssistant in California, MO.
Survivors also include; two sons, Thomas D. Brown with his wife, Laurie Ann of California, and David L. Brown of Colunbia, MO; one brother, Les Twichel of Russelville, MO; five sisters, Kitty Crow of Belton, MO; Jane Jarrett of Montreal, MO; Sue Elmore of Clinton, MS; Barbara Bond of Brazito, MO and Rozi Wood of Eagle, CO, two grandchildren, Leslie Ann and Derek Brown. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Rex Twitchel in 1999 and Norris Edward Twitchel.
Services will be held at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services Monday, March 11, 2002 at 10:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Ken Mathies. Burial will be in High Point Cemetery, High Point, MO.
