WIFE OF HOWARD ERVIN, BORN NOVEMBER 14, 1933

Georgia Mae Darnell Ervin , 63, Route 1, went to be with the Lord Tuesday (June 1, 1999) at her residence after a short illness.
Born in Scott County, Va., she was the daughter of the late George M. in 1978 and Callie M. Darnell in 1998. She retired from Arcata Graphics as a book picker. She had sung with the Ervin Trio and was a member of Alley Valley Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Lee Darnell.
Surviving are her husband, Howard Ervin , Gate City, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, David and Deborah Ervin , Gate City, Va.; grandson, Calvin W. Williams Jr., Kingsport; great-granddaughter, Cassandra (Cassie) Williams, Kingsport; sisters, Shirley J. Lawson, Virginia K. Grizzle and Carolyn S. Frazier, all of Gate City, Va., and Kathy Ann Sexton, Yuma community; brothers, James Edward Darnell, Charles Fred Darnell, Hubert Dean Darnell, all of Gate City, Va., and Earl Monroe Darnell, Yuma community; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Colonial Funeral Home, Weber City, Va., and anytime at the residence.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Willie Neeley and the Rev. Lennis France officiating. Music will be provided by the Holder Family.
Burial will be at the Ervin Cemetery, Manville community. Pallbearers will be Calvin Williams, Rick Fansler, Scotty Fansler, Eddie Carter, Tony Grizzle, Ray Leonard Jr., Larry Fields and Doug Edwards.
