Lloyd A. Buxton died at his home in Creston, Iowa, Nov. 14, 1972, at the age of 79 years. Lloyd Buxton, son of Robert and Mary Woodward Buxton, was born on a farm south of Stringtown October 29, 1893.
He was united in marriage to Lillian Fair Jan. 14, 1914. To this union was born a son, Bernard.
Mr. Buxton was employed by the Burlington railroad for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Alfred and Clifford, and one sister, Aldia Case.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian, a son, Bernard (wife Pat) and two grandsons: Mike and Bob all of Des Moines; two sisters: Mrs. Donald Hill of Corning, Mrs. Thelma White of Tyler, Texas and one brother, Clifford Buxton of Creston.
Funeral services were held at the Coen Home for Funerals Nov. 17th at 1 p.m. Interment was in Stringtown Cemetery.
