Aunt Flo was a wonderful, patient, dark haired beauty with a laugh that would melt your heart. She was wonderful around all the family children who came to visit.

She was devouted to loving and caring for her husband and three children.
When their daughter Sharron died at the young age of 17 from a brain tumor, it took the light out of their hearts but they found strength in their two sons.

She served in the Women's Army Corps as a nurse and officer during WWII. She met Uncle Ernest during the war.
They spent most of their married life in Tampa.

In their later years, they moved back to Farmerville, LA near her sisters.
She cleaned her kitchen one fall morning, had a headache and laid down to rest, and passed away in her sleep.
She was my mother's favorite of all the Kelleys, I believe...and died two short weeks before my own mother's passing.
Now they rest side by side in Simsboro Cemetery in the shadow of the Simsboro Baptist Church cross.
