Gilbert Haronamus Jung
Mr. Gilbert Haronamus Jung of San Antonio and formally of Fredericksburg passed away on Wednesday ,November 19, in the Nix Hospital at the age of 86 years.

Gilbert was born May 17, 1922 in Fredericksburg, Texas, to Henry and Mary (Rosenbach) Jung. Gilbert enlisted in the United States Navy on October 27, 1942, and was discharged on January 10, 1946. Gilbert married Erlene Wehmeyer on August 22, 1946, in Fredericksburg. He worked for many years in Commercial Sales for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.

Gilbert Jung is survived by his wife: Erlene Jung of San Antonio; seven children and spouses: Jerome Jung of San Antonio; Cris Jung of San Antonio; Cary and Linda Jung of San Antonio; Mark Jung of Boerne; Jeanne and Robert Denney of New Braunfels; Jeff Jung of San Antonio; Deneen Jung of San Antonio; nine grandchildren and five great -grandchildren; brothers, sister and spouses: Raymond and Mae Jung of Elizabethan, TN; Roy and Rosalie Jung of San Antonio; sister and brother-in-laws and spouse: Ruby, Mrs. Oliver Jung of Fredericksburg; Dorothy and C.L. "Red" Weinheimer of Fredericksburg.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jung , and a brother, Oliver Adolph Jung .

The body will lie in state in the Chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home at 9:45 a.m. on Monday November 24th with a Mass of Resurrection at 10 a.m. in the St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Vigil services will be held on Sunday, November 23, at 5 p.m. in the Chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of one's choice.

Visitation for Gilbert Jung will be held on Sunday November 23, from 2 to 7 p.m. in the Chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home of Fredericksburg.
