Mr. Dietz was born in Denver on Sept. 9, 1916. He married Ann Berger, 1972.

He was a security guard for Rocky Mountain Arsenal. He was a member of the Brighton Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife; stepsons Bill Haberkon of Fort Lupton, Don Haberkon of Thornton, Jim Haberkon of Dacono; daughter Jody Brammer of Fort Collins; brother George of Denver; two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
