The community was shocked last Thursday when the news came that Mrs. F. P. Henderson had passed away. She had been poorly for some time but nothing very serious was thought of until on Wednesday it was thought best to take her to Webster City for treamtent so on the 8:30 train she was removed to the hospital at that place and at 6:30 the following morning she passed away.
Mary Emma Dale was born in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, Oct. 20, 1858, and came with her parents to
Hamilton county near Homer in the fall of 1863 and has always lived in this vicinity. In 1880 she was united in marriage to F. P. Henderson and to them were born 7 children, one son passing away in infancy and an 18 yr. old daughter about 8 years ago. Beside the husband the five children left to mourn her loss are Mrs. Will Bauman, of Primgar, Mrs. Nellie Pearson, of Ellsworth, Mrs. Paul Wille, of Buckeye, Mrs. Lloyd Woodard, of Maurice, and Harold, of Kamrar.
The funeral services wore held Saturday morning at the M.E. church. The floral offerings were generous and beautiful and the church was filled with friends to pay their last respects to one who was an ever active worker
in the church and who will be greatly missed by not a few. Interment was made at Webster City.
