He was born January 11, 1911 the son of George and Jenny (Phelps) Dauberman on the family farm in Kaneville, IL. Earl grew up working on the farm and going to school in Kaneville. While he was still a young boy, Earl's mother died and Earl was then raised by his aunt and uncle who also lived in Kaneville. After graduating in 1929, he attended North Central College, Naperville and graduated with a B.S. in History. He returned home from school and continued to farm with his father.
Earl met Alice Jeter at a dance at the infamous Long's Barn and that was the beginning of over 25 years of life and love together. They were married on June 22, 1938 in Plano, IL. After her passing in 1968, Earl met Clarice Wittaker at the Coliseum in Davenport, IA. They danced into each others lives and on August 8, 1971, they became one when they were united in marriage in Aurora. Earl became an instant grandpa to her four grandchildren and they spent the next 27 years taking trips to the east coast, Canada, the Dakotas, California, Alaska and a Hawaiian boat cruise. When they weren't travelling they loved to entertain their friends and relatives at home.
Earl was a faithful and longtime member of the Kane County Farm Bureau and the Kane County Corn Growers. Earl was happiest when he was working with his tools. A student of mechanics, he loved taking anything apart, piece by piece and then putting it back together again. Earl could also count dancing as one of his gifts that pushed him to the front of the class.
He leaves now his daughter Sue Dauberman of Madison, WI; and two good friends, Eldon and Sandy Gould, who have cared for his needs the past few years.
He joins now his wives, Alice and Clarice, his parents and a brother McClellan.
