V. L Smithson Succumbs At 77
RICHWOOD (RiSS) — Verner Leili Smithson, 77, of Richwood died Wednesday at his home after a short illness.
He owned a jewelry store here and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Veva Violet Smithson; a daughter Mrs. Virginia Zirilli of New York City; two sons, V. L. Jr. of Belington and Emory Keith Smithson of Richwood; a brother, L. M. Smithson of Richwood; and 10 grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen McKinney in charge.
The body will be taken from Simons Funeral Home to the church one hour prior to the funeral
