Bancroft, Ida. - Funeral services for Carl Ernest Shipley, 66, a prominent farmer and pioneer resident of Bancroft, will be conducted Monday at 2 PM in the Bancroft Ward chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bishop Asa S. Hatch officiating.

Mr. Shipley died Friday morning in a Malad hospital following a short illness. He was born Feb. 20, 1886, in Woodruff, Utah, the son of Orson and Mary S. Dixson Shipley. He moved with his parents to Bancroft as an infant and lived there all his life.

He married Martha Ward Aug 6, 1908, in the Logan Temple. He is an active member of the Church and served as ward clerk until ill health forced his retirement.

He is survived besides his widow by three sons, Roy Shipley, Pocatello; Mike Shipley, Bancroft and Mack Shipley, Reno, Nev; seven grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, O.A. Shipley, Bancroft, Mrs. Gladys Mickles, Salt Lake City, Mrs. Margaret Remington, Bancroft.

The body will be taken to the family home Sunday where friends may call until the time of services. Burial will be in Chesterfield, Ida. cemetery under the direction of Downard Mortuary, Pocatello.
