The English translation of the German records for St. Luke's Lutheran Church reports her birth date as 31 Aug. 1878 and baptism as 9 Nov. 1878. Witnesses: parents, Mrs. Schaefer, Louise Bock. Lucy's given name was reported as Louise Clara Katherine BOCK.

She and her husband married at Harmar Congregational Church.

Her son Howard Dewey, and his cousin Viola by Lucy's sister were baptized at the German Evangelical Lutheran Church. Howard married at the parsonage of Trinity Methodist Church, where his wife was a member. Lucy's mother, later in her own life, attended Gilman Methodist.

It is not clear what church affiliation A.H. and Lucy might have had later in their lives.
