Services were held at the Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter Saturday afternoon for Ivan Gilbert Ennis, 73, who died in Piedmont Thursday, June 3. The Rev. Joe Smith officiated and burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele with Dean Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Ennis was born near Dyersburg June 28, 1897, and lived in the Cooter area for many years. He had lived in Piedmont for about two years.
He is survived by a brother, Ralph Ennis of Memphis, and several nieces and nephews.
