The deceased was born at Fredericktown, Mo., moving to this part of Pemiscot County 31 years ago. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Ms. Ellis Chambers; two sons: Ivan and Ralph; and by three children of a former marriage; several other near relatives and a host of friends.
The German Undertaking Co., of this city, was in charge of funeral arrangements. Services were held Thursday at 10 o'clock at the Cooter Baptist Church, conducted by Rev E.G Stephenson of Holland Baptist Church, and assisted by Rev. R.O. Ekrut, of Cooter Baptist Church, and Rev. H.W. Doss, of Steele M.E. Church. The services at the grave were conducted by the I.O.O.F. Lodge. The pall and flower bearers were also members of the I.O.O.F.
The funeral was largely attended by friends and the many beautiful flowers all attested to the high esteem in which Mr. Ennis was held.
Interment was made in the Number Eight Cemetery.
