John Gunsallus, an aged Civil War Veteran, answered the final roll call on Tuesday at the age of 81. He died at the home of his son, Harry, who resides about two miles from Snow Shoe and with whom he had been making his abiding place for some time. In addition to his son, he has one daughter, whose name we can not learn, to mourn his departure. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. and interment will be made in the Askey Cemetery.
