COCOA BEACH, Fla. -- Ruth Anne Clark, 58, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, at Melbourne Avante Hospice House after an extended illness. She was known to many as "Shan" Clark.

Born on May 15, 1949, as Ruth Anne Higgins in Wayne County to the late Richard Higgins (1927-1990) of Akron and the late Grace Tipton of Big Prairie.

Surviving are a sister, Patty (Higgins) Miller of Big Prairie; a half-sister, Beverly Au of Ashtabula; half-brothers, Bobby Hall of Martinsville, Ind., Rick and Judy Higgins of Akron; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Bob Duncan.

Shan served her country in the U.S. Army for six years and eventually came to be employed by the Kennedy Space Center. She later became self-employed in her own lawn care business.

Shan will be sadly missed by family and friends.
