JEFFERSON — Beverly J. Au, age 69, of Jefferson, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015.
She was born Sept. 9, 1945, in Whiteville, Tenn., the daughter of the late Robert C. and Elizabeth Grace (Owen) Hall. Mrs. Au was a 1963 graduate of Loudonville High School.
Beverly retired from WEK industry in Jefferson and was a volunteer EMT through Sheffield Fire Department for many years. A member of the American Legion Post #103 Auxiliary, she also enjoyed camping, and sewing wedding and prom dresses, but most of all, she enjoyed the time she got to spend with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Beverly is survived by her children, Dexter (Cindy) Au of North Kingsville, Valerie (Randy) Ertell of Jacksonville, Fla., and Brannon (Shelley) Brown of Ashtabula; her longtime companion and caregiver, Jerry Whitenack of Jefferson; daughter-in-law, Debra Smith; sister, Patricia (Raymond) Miller of Big Prarie, Ohio; brother, Robert (Diane) Hall of Morrisville, Ind.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David in 1998; her son, Danny L. Au in 1994; sister, Ruth Ann Clark; and her parents.
A private graveside service will be held at Gageville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Should friends desire, the family suggest memorial donations in her name be made to Sheffield Fire Department.
