Birthdate is uncertain. According to her obituary she was born Mar. 13, 1860.
The 1901 census gives her birthdate as Nov. 13, 1859.
The 1911 census gives her birthdate as Mar 1859.

MRS. MARY ISRAEL EIX

ELMIRA, Aug 16. -- Mrs. Mary
Israel Eix, 81, died at her residence,
8 William Street, Elmira, yesterday,
following a lengthy illness. She was
born in Woolwich Township on March
13, 1860. Mrs. Eix attended St. Paul's
Lutheran Church, Elmira, and was
a member of the Ladies' Aid Society.
She was married to the late Jacob
Eix in Floradale on Apr 8, 1878.
Surviving are one son, Roy J. of
Waterloo, four daughters, Mrs. Per-
cy Ruppel, Mrs. H. W. Zilliax, and
Mrs. William Schedewitz, all of El-
mira, and Mrs. J. C.Moebus of Kit-
chener, one brother George Israel of
Kitchener, four sisters, Mrs. Joseph
Musselman of Elmira, Mrs. John
Class and Mrsl William Herman of
Preston and Mrs. Albert Snider of
Alderside, Alta. Five grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren also
survive.
Funeral services will be held
from her late residence on Tuesday
At 2 p.m. to St. Paul's Lutheran
Church Elmira, for service at 2:30
p.m. Burial will be made in Union
Cemetery, Elmira, Rev. F. Malinsky
will officiate.
