ALTHOUSE - In Lebanon on June 1, 1958 William M., husband of Amy E., nee Burkey Althouse, 1118 E. Cumberland St., aged 60 years. Funeral on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from The Rohland Parlors, 5th & Cumberland Sts. with services in charge of Rev. Francis H. Daugherty and Rev. Carl W. Zeigler. Interment at Wolf's Union Meeting House. Relatives and friends are invited to attend without further notice. Friends may call Wednesday evening 7 to 9 at the parlors. Military funeral services were held this afternoon for William M. Althouse, husband of Amy H. (Burkey) Althouse, 1118 E. Cumberland St. Services were held at the Rohland Parlors, Fifth and Cumberland Sts. The Rev. Francis R. Daugherty, pastor of Grace United Church of Christ, Avon, conducted the rites, assisted by Rev. Carl W. Zeigler of the Lebanon Church of the Brethren. Interment was made at Wolf's Union Meeting House, near Fredericksburg. Members of the firing squad from the Lebanon Veterans of Foreign Wars were William O'Donnell, who was in charge; Roland Hoke, William Werth, William Pennington, John Matthews and Louis Bickel. Buglers were Allen Fenner and Raymond Tarrach. Pallbearers, all from the Annville American Legion, were Stanley and Edward Walters, Norman Streicher, William Anspach, Harry Wright and Wallace Hicks Jr. [Lebanon Daily News, June 5, 1958, Page 2]
